Writing is a way of helping if you consider that the battered humanity must have more and better education against the incredible ignorance we all are mired in, except for the researchers seeking a satisfactory answer in science. It is a word which involves its infinite content in a few letters.

All of us in our youth have heard at some time of Einstein and, especially, after the explosion of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, putting an end to the cruel war unleashed between Japan and the United States. When those bombs were launched, after the war started by the attack on the US base in Pearl Harbor, the Japanese Empire had already been defeated. The United States, the country whose territory and industries stayed detached from the war, became the one with greatest wealth and the best armed on earth, in the face of a shattered world, full of dead, wounded and starving people. The USSR and China together had lost more than 50 million lives, with huge material destruction. Almost all the gold in the world ended up in the United States’ coffers. Today the totality of gold as monetary reserve in that nation is estimated at 8,133.5 tons. Despite all this, breaking the pledge signed in Bretton Woods, the United States unilaterally declared that they would not honor their duty to back the Troy ounce with the value of its paper bills in gold.

Such a measure decreed by Nixon violated the commitment contracted by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. According to a great number of experts on that matter, thus the basis of a crisis was created threatening with a hard blow to the economic model of that country among other disasters. Meanwhile, Cuba is owed the indemnity equivalent to damages, standing at substantial millions of dollars as denounced by our country with undeniable facts through its interventions in the United Nations.

As clearly expressed by the Party and Government of Cuba, as a token of goodwill and peace among all countries of this hemisphere and ensemble of peoples making up the human family, and thus contributing to guarantee the survival of our species in this modest space of the universe, we will never stop fighting for peace and the wellbeing of every human being, regardless of skin color, origin, as well as everyone’s right to have, or not, religious beliefs.

Equality for all citizens to healthcare, education, work, food, security, culture, science, and wellbeing, namely, the same rights we claimed when we started our fight plus those emerging from our dreams of justice and equality for the world’s inhabitants, that is what I wish for all; I thank all those who share every or some of these ideas, or highly superior but in the same direction, thank you, dear compatriots.
