housing in VZVenezuela’s Minister of Housing and Habitat, Ricardo Molina said Thursday that the Great Housing Mission Venezuela will begin next week Operation Round Off to reach the goal of building and delivering one million housing units by the end of 2015.

He said that as part of this social program, houses were delivered today in six states to begin “what we call Operation Round Off and next week, houses will be delivered every week in all states,” he said in Ciudad Caribia, a housing complex in Caracas.

So far, this Housing Mission, created by Commander Hugo Chavez in 2011, has completed 724,797 houses while 386,980 new homes are under construction throughout the country, explained Molina.

In Ciudad Caribia, the minister delivered 48 apartments to families that are already moving to urban planning.

The housing units of this complex were built by construction company Alba Bolivariana, comprised of Cuban and Venezuelan staff, which has completed 2,038 homes.

Molina stressed that this Thursday 653 new homes began to be built in various states.

“We have started 653 new works nationwide as part of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela, as well as new areas, new projects and assemblies to move forward on this path set in the Plan of the Nation” he said.
