On January 12 and 13, 2017, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed fines on the nonprofit organization Alliance for Responsible Cuba Policy (ARCP) and the Canadian bank Toronto Dominion (TD), for $10,000 and $955,750, respectively, for alleged violations of blockade regulations. (more…)

En la mayor expresión de oposición a un presidente entrante que se haya conocido en la historia de Estados Unidos, 4,5 millones de personas protestaron durante dos días en las calles de este país la inauguración de Donald Trump. Los manifestantes se pronunciaron en contra de su agenda de odio hacia las minorías y los pobres. Las marchas no solo fueron una fuerte señal del nuevo periodo que se avecina, pero también demostró que la gente está cansada y no tiene ninguna confianza en el proceso electoral que tuvo lugar recientemente durante la campaña presidencial.
