Cuba Condemns Racist Statements by Donald Trump against Haiti and El Salvador

January 12, 2018

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba strongly condemns the racist, denigrating and rude statements of the President of the United States of America on Haiti, El Salvador, African States and other continents, in the course of a meeting on the migratory program known as DACA, which took place in the White House yesterday.

These statements full of hatred and contempt, produces indignation in the Cuban people, who are proud of the contributions that they have made throughout their history to nationalities and their descendants from diverse latitudes, particularly African and Haitian. This began the very moment that our nationality was forged.

Cuba adds to the strong rejection that these statements have produced throughout the world, especially in the countries of the South.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its most heartfelt solidarity with all the offended countries. Havana, January 12, 2018, year 60 of the Revolution.
