cease the escalation of violence against the Palestinian people.
Given the escalation of violence in recent days, the death of so many Palestinian and Israeli civilians, caused by more than 70 years of occupation and massacre against the Palestinian territory and its people, and aggravated by the neo-fascist coalition government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity calls for the need and urgency of restoring dialogue.
There is a need to dismantle the apartheid regime, the root of this conflict, and replace it with a democratic and just alternative that responds to the demands of the Palestinian people, whether it is the formula proposed by the UN or any other that results in a definitive solution to the conflict. Until this happens, the Palestinian people have the right to resist.
We also denounce the barbarism, the constant violation of human rights and territorial occupation by the government of Israel, and the apartheid regime with which it intends to subject the people of Palestine and fundamentally the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, as well as the support it has always had from US imperialism, safeguarding the region for its interests.
Let this, our expression, be a call for peace, to avoid, with the various mechanisms of negotiation, the death and helplessness of thousands and thousands of children, women and the population in general.
We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. For the Right to self-determination of the Peoples. For the Right of Peoples to live in peace in their territory.
