The remarkable thing about this article is not its clear detail about how Cuba has been able to come up with a successful model for sustainable development but its source. Forbes Magazine, has marketed itself as the “Capitalist Tool” while yearly listing the richest people in the world and it is not a friend of Cuba. The article takes a u turn in the last paragraph when it considers all the advancement and innovation the Cuban people have made under a developing socialist model, but attributes it as a beneficial byproduct of the brutal US economic war and then raises the question if they can be applied to capitalist projects in developing countries. – editorial (more…)
