COVID-19 cases are on a concerning rise again on the Caribbean island. We started the year with about 500 cases per day, but in the last 24 hours, more than 1,000 new infections have been registered. The reason is the same as in other countries of the world including in the US where there have been over a million new cases recorded in each of the past few days. (more…)

The Resounding Victory of the Left-Wing In Chile

On Sunday night, a few minutes after the victory of leftist Gabriel Boric was declared, the center of Santiago de Chile and other important cities of the southern country was filled with people honking horns and waving Chilean flags. Hugo Chávez never forgot the first time he stepped on Cuban soil on December 13, 1994. To his surprise, Fidel was waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs of the plane.
