During his speech at the event in Defense of the Sovereignty and Peace of Venezuela, Latin America, and the Caribbean as territories of peace, Venezuelan Head of State Nicolás Maduro Moros warned that the homeland is impregnable. “Nothing and no one will touch Venezuela,” he declared before the Legislative Branch of the South American nation in the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas.
Maduro Moros thanked the president of the National Assembly, its Board of Directors, and all its members for the invitation to the event, which he described as “a special act of encounter, reunion, and unity of the entire Venezuelan society to defend the sacred rights: self-determination, the full exercise of sovereignty, and the enjoyment of the peace that has been won; within the framework of a democratic, peaceful, pacifist, independent Venezuela free from any imperialist power,“ he declared.
”Yesterday, today, and always, free and independent, as our giants left us in their legacy,” said the president in direct reference to the precursors of Bolivarian independence.
According to the president, Venezuela’s wealth transcends its mineral resources. He affirmed that, beyond oil, iron, gold, or gas, the true strength of the nation lies in its moral, spiritual, and ethical heritage, the fundamental legacy of the liberators.

In favor of national unity, Maduro Moros reaffirmed: “This is not a time for political differences or colors, because we are united under a single flag: yellow, blue, and red.”
Similarly, the president thanked the international community for its support for Venezuela and its unanimous rejection of the US attempt to start an armed conflict in South America. At the same time, he stressed that international law prohibits the threat of force against a sovereign state and the use of force against a sovereign state.
“Whoever attacks and threatens a country in Latin America threatens them all,” he denounced. He stressed that these are times of courage, of joining forces and putting aside differences. “It is time for Venezuela to speak with one voice and for sovereignty and independence to be respected above all else,” he said.
Before members of Parliament, representatives of the public authorities, members of the Executive Cabinet, the Superior General Staff of the FANB, and leaders of the parties that make up the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar, Nicolás Maduro Moros urged all Venezuelans to choose peace, life, and national sovereignty.
This event is taking place in a context marked by the real threat of a US military deployment in the Caribbean, which endangers the Zone of Peace declared in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2014 and attempts to link the Venezuelan government authorities, including President Maduro Moros, to drug trafficking in order to justify a chapter of armed aggression, in what represents a new escalation of psychological warfare unleashed by Donald Trump.
