Cuban Medsol Laboratories is to take advantage of the raw materials available on the Chinese market and the infrastructure of this company’s modern plants. Following the transfer of technology from Laboratorios Medsol to the Chinese company Hubei C&C, based in Wuhan, production of the 81-milligram aspirin consumed by the Cuban population will begin shortly.
According to a report by Canal Caribe, more than 100,000,000 tablets will be produced in the first stage to meet the needs of patients on the island.
This is a new model of joint collaboration, derived from the profits from sales of PPG, a Cuban product from the National Center for Scientific Research that is distributed and marketed in this Asian country.
Mayté Pérez, director of Medsol, explained that this production will cover the demand established by the Ministry of Public Health for the year 2026. This stage of production is being monitored by the State Center for the Control of Medicines and Medical Equipment, which ensures greater efficacy and safety of the product for patients, she added.

The director of Medsol explained that these same raw materials are purchased and brought to Cuba for production, so doing so directly in China reduces costs.
This business model paves the way for a group of other medicines that could be manufactured with these facilities in China for the Cuban population.
