“Year of the Centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz” – To all sister and solidarity organizations around the world
The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) of Cuba denounces before the world the criminal and new escalation of aggression by Yankee imperialism against our people. The extreme application of Executive Order 14380, which imposes sanctions on any country that sends oil to Cuba, is an act of economic warfare aimed at paralyzing our nation, suffocating our industry and agriculture, and causing suffering among Cuban families. This is not an isolated measure, but the latest link in the genocidal policy of the blockade, which has now lasted more than six decades.
Our peasantry, faithful defenders of the Revolution, feel the direct impact of this vile measure in their fields. For example, without fuel, machinery stops, irrigation and cultural work on different crops, harvesting, and marketing are affected. In short, food production for our people is jeopardized.
It is a cowardly attempt to make us surrender through hunger and need, seeking to make us give up our sovereignty and our socialist project. However, we declare that neither this nor any other measure will break the productive will of the Cuban peasantry, loyal to its history and its revolutionary process.
At this critical moment, we urgently call on all peasant, indigenous, and popular organizations on all continents, and all people in solidarity with Cuba, to speak out firmly against this crime against humanity.
We request the drafting of letters, publications, statements, the creation of viral content (reels, testimonies), or other initiatives that reveal and condemn this injustice against the Cuban people and their sovereignty.
The Cuban people will not give up and will not let the ideals of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz die in particular in the “Year of his Centenary.”
United in the struggle! Homeland or Death! Socialism or Death! We shall overcome!
