President Gustavo Petro Hold Bilateral Meeting at Miraflores

Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, welcomed Colombian President Gustavo Petro to the Miraflores Palace on Friday as part of his official visit to the country. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of fraternity and under the shared vision of the “Patria Grande” to deepen diplomatic ties. For this reason, both leaders are leading a high-level meeting aimed at strengthening political and economic ties between the two nations. Consequently, this meeting represents a fundamental step toward regional stability and strategic cooperation in 2026.

Furthermore, the bilateral agenda focuses on addressing issues of utmost importance in the economic, political, and social spheres. In this regard, the leaders are assessing the current situation in the border area to optimize transit and security along the shared territorial borders. Likewise, the goal is to boost trade and development projects that directly benefit the two sister nations. Therefore, the dialogue in Miraflores allows for the definition of a clear roadmap for mutual growth. In this way, Venezuela and Colombia reaffirm their commitment to moving toward solid and lasting integration.

Finally, the authorities emphasized that this rapprochement is key to consolidating peace and progress on the continent. Following the official reception, working groups from both presidencies met to finalize technical and social agreements addressing current challenges. Thus, the Colombian president’s visit to Caracas symbolizes a new era of mutual respect and collaboration between the neighboring governments. In this way, the Miraflores Palace once again becomes the epicenter of Bolivarian diplomacy for Latin American unity.
