The Security Conference met recently, between February 13 and 15, at its usual venue in Munich, Bavaria. Outside of the United Nations General Assembly, the MSC is the most well-attended meeting in the world. The official report for this session states that it was attended by more than a thousand participants from some 115 countries, including 60 heads of state and government and more than 50 leaders of international organizations, as well as more than 100 think tanks. In addition to the main activities, the report mentions 270 parallel events held in conjunction with the Conference. (more…)

The Sea Horse
The Sea Horse ship carrying Russian fuel is heading to Cuba amid the island’s energy situation and defying US President Donald Trump’s sanctions to impose tariffs, Bloomberg reported. According to the media outlet and data from maritime intelligence firm Kpler Ltd, the ship could be carrying about 200,000 barrels of Russian diesel fuel. (more…)

We know that Granma’s contribution to the Latin American communication experience cannot be understood as an anecdotal chapter in the history of regional journalism; rather, it is a historical laboratory where words are assumed to be a material force and truth is a disputed territory. Since its founding in 1965 as the official organ of the Communist Party of Cuba, Granma has operated in an area of tension where reporting is not only about transmitting data, but also actively participating in the symbolic configuration of reality.
