This week, Cuba once again raised its voice for Palestine, this time from The Hague, in the Netherlands, where the International Court of Justice is holding hearings on the genocide taking place in Gaza. Over 30,000 people make up the list of victims of the Israeli operation in Gaza since October 7, 2023, most of them children and women, and all this has happened before the gaze of the international community, which is just beginning to awaken from its lethargy, and seeks to put a stop to Israel’s brutality. The National Network on Cuba, Black Alliance for Peace, and Lowcountry Action Committee strongly condemn the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) airstrikes in Somalia reported to have killed 2 Cuban doctors. Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa ratified military cooperation agreements between Ecuador and the United States on February 15. The agreements regarding joint operations to combat illegal maritime activity and the status of US troops in the country were signed by Noboa’s predecessor, Guillermo Lasso, in September 2023. (more…)
