El preso político Leonard Peltier (Turtle Mountain Ojibwe), miembro del Movimiento Indio Americano (AIM), que es el preso político indígena que lleva más tiempo encarcelado en EE.UU., vio denegada su libertad condicional el martes por la falsa Comisión de Libertad Condicional estadounidense. UU que tiene la mayor población encarcelada per cápita del mundo con esa población envejecida y enferma como es el caso de Leonard.

Longtime political prisoner Leonard Peltier (Turtle Mountain Ojibwe), a member of the American Indian Movement (AIM), who is the longest held Indigenous political prisoner in the US, was denied parole on Tuesday by the bogus US Parole Commission. The US which has the largest per capita incarcerated population in the world with that population aging and sick as is the case of Leonard. (more…)

There are several unknowns around the upcoming Venezuelan presidential elections on July 28, and everything seems to indicate that they will only be resolved on that day, when more than 21 million voters will be able to cast their ballots and decide whether to give President Nicolás Maduro six more years in office or opt for one of nine other presidential candidates in the race. On June 26, 2024, the Bolivian government suffered an attempted military coup d’état organized and orchestrated by dissident members of the Army, who, using tanks and other combat vehicles, forcibly entered the Palacio Quemado, positioning themselves in strategic places in the Plaza Murillo, in a clear coup against the democratic government of Luis Arce Catacora.
