Cuban internationalist activist Aleida Guevara March extended an embrace of love to the Lebanese and urged them to react united against the Zionist aggression together with the fighters of Hezbollah and to gather in their hands enough strength to defeat that enemy once and for all. The daughter of Che’s message of solidarity came just 24 hours before the criminal assassination of Hezbollah’ General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah. Israel used several 2,000-pound bunker buster bombs, provided by the US, on the Hreik neighborhood resulting in the cowardly assassination of the leader and others.
In the letter, Aleida extended an embrace of love to the Lebanese and urged them to react united against the Zionist aggression together with the fighters of Hezbollah and to take into their hands enough strength to defeat that enemy once and for all.
We must go ahead with all the courage to fight an enemy that does not respect human life and confront it until it is crushed, she stressed.
Aleida rejected the ongoing Israeli massacre of innocent people in Lebanon and urged the brothers in the land of cedars to continue the battle.
Aleida’s letter followed the recent Israeli attack on Friday on six buildings in the Haret Hreik neighborhood of Beirut’s southern suburb, where so far two people were killed and 76 wounded.
Following the onslaught, teams of firefighters and rescuers arrived on the scene to extinguish the fires and begin work to remove debris and search for survivors and the injured.
According to Lebanese interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the attack shows Israel’s lack of interest in international calls for a cease-fire.

Cuba is an island without a boat in sight. In Havana, from whatever height the bay can be seen, the sea is a neat blue line and days go by before a freighter crosses the horizon. It was not always like that. At the end of the 18th century and a good part of the 19th century, 40 percent of the traffic between America and Spain passed through Cuba, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo. (more…)
