Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla rejected the fallacious statements of the U.S. President, as being “badly advised and attached to failed rhetoric”, during his visit to Florida this Friday.
“In his electoral opportunism he does not explain how the elimination of trips and exchanges, the attack on Cuban families and the brutal tightening of the blockade helps the people of Cuba,” the Cuban Foreign Minister wrote on his Twitter social network account.
Donald Trump traveled to Florida to beat the drums of war, in a journey totally removed from the reality of his country. There he bragged about the use he made of the nearly 2.5 billion used to rebuild the U.S. military. How many of the more than 130,000 Americans who have died as a result of COVID-19 could have been saved with just a fraction of that money?
In a demonstration that leaves much to be desired, the magnate-president visited the Doral Jesus Worship Center, known for its links to the terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy in Washington, April 30.
The aggressive discourse against Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela and the remembrance of his imperial feats against the peoples of those nations could not be missed.
Repeating publicly on two occasions his pride in the “Bay of Pigs” award says it all. It is more than a symbol. Those who celebrate a shameful defeat can only hope for an equally ignominious defeat and the relentless judgment of history.
