The United States mercenary fifth column in Cuba is calling for a “civic” march, supposedly peaceful, for November 15 in several cities of the island. This is another step in the path of the soft coup and regime change that follows the pattern of Gene Sharp’s texts and the US special operations manuals. The same pattern of the guarimbas in Venezuela, of the blockades in Nicaragua and of the color revolutions in Syria and Eastern European countries.
Yunior García Aguilera and Manuel Cuesta Morúa stand out as conveners and are also signatories of a document addressed to the authorities of eight provinces of the island to inform about the march. They immediately received the endorsement of high-ranking U.S. officials, the inevitable Cuban-American legislators, the hegemonic media and Miami-based terrorists of Cuban origin. Among them, most notably, the arch criminals Ramon Saul Sanchez and Orlando Gutierrez-Boronat, whose organizations receive substantial funds from the US treasury. All this has been documented by Cuba (https://bit.ly/FdyhX4).
Sanchez is one of Garcia’s operators in Miami. No one informed can believe the invocations of these characters to freedom and democracy, which Cuba conquered for the first time and definitively when the revolution suppressed the imperialist domination over the island. Nor their calls for the release of misnamed political prisoners who, in reality, are fierce enemies oiled with Yankee funds, of the socialist constitutional order ratified in 2019 by more than 85 percent of the voters. Or vandals who, complying with the slogans of unbridled hatred constantly emitted by the numerous anti-Cuban media loudspeakers in Miami, assaulted policemen and destroyed public property taking advantage of the troubled waters of July 11.
To top it all off, Juan Gonzalez, White House national security advisor for the Western Hemisphere, has threatened that the US will “act” if the organizers are prosecuted, in obvious recognition of who is really behind the organization and financing of the march. Add to this the frenetic activism of the U.S. embassy in Havana, whose officials carry out activities that that country would never admit a foreign diplomat in its territory, and Brian Nichols, undersecretary of state for the Western Hemisphere, a twitterer of the march.
The Cuban people are an example of resistance, bearer of deep patriotic feelings, moral values and political principles, deepened in the revolutionary stage with the incomparable teaching of Fidel. He knows that the mercenaries of the empire live and travel the world at full speed while millions stoically endure the cruel rigors of the blockade, ultra-reinforced by Trump during the pandemic, and kept intact by Biden contrary to what he promised in his campaign. He knows that the mercenaries are clamoring for the reinforcement of the U.S. siege and he knows their complicity with those who shamelessly call for military intervention in Cuba from Florida day in and day out. He knows that they lack ideals and have no other project than to destroy the revolution and the feelings of solidarity and fraternity with the peoples of the world that it has sown, to sweep away its conquests of social justice, education, health and enjoyment of culture and recreation for all, to liquidate the sovereignty and independence achieved with the blood of generations. To restore, in short, the neocolonial mafia capitalism prevailing until the revolutionary triumph, with its indignities, this would now be tinged with the rotten Miami neoliberalism.
The march is illegal since it violates several articles of the Constitution. Those who are calling for the march did not request permission from the authorities, as established by the socialist rule of law, they merely reported it in open provocation. It is perfectly understandable that Havana, with the law in hand, should prevent this crude incitement by the counterrevolution subordinated to Washington, in violation of the Constitution and the order that Cubans have democratically established for themselves.
According to the Cuba Money Project, the U.S. Agency for International Development granted at the end of September some 6 million 669 thousand dollars for subversive projects in Cuba, out of a total of 18 million that it can allocate until 2023. Among the main beneficiaries are the Cuban Democratic Directorate, headed by Gutiérrez Boronat, which has received 617,500 dollars, and the media created for the media campaign against Cuba. A total of 170 million dollars were dedicated by Trump to subversion against the island, not counting the secret funds from the so-called intelligence community and the Pentagon for that purpose. President Díaz-Canel has been categorical: “we will not legitimize imperialist actions in domestic politics”.
