The United States government already wants a triumphant color revolution in Cuba. It dreams, without any basis in political reality, that the end of the troublesome project of an independent, sovereign nation, of profound social justice and socialist orientation and in solidarity with the struggles of the peoples of the world, located for 62 years only 144 kilometers from its shores, is near.
That is why Biden’s White House is living the foolish fantasy of holding a “peaceful and civic march for change” on November 15 in cities of the island by channeling, for months now, rivers of money to their internal mercenaries and their Miami operators. They intend to redo the July 11 protests but with much greater violence and it is significant that they are calling on participants to carry healing materials. The Biden administration has convinced itself that the economic crisis created by Trump’s asphyxiating and cruel measures -which he is keeping intact-, the worsening of the crisis due to the pandemic and its damaging effects on the supply of food, medicines and other vital products, are enough to break the Cuban people and push them to overthrow the government. They use the war with the hegemonic media, the digital networks, the armies of bots and the anti-Cuban communication network in Florida, also financed with a lot of money from U.S. taxpayers. Once again they are seriously mistaken about the Cuban Revolution. They are playing with fire by following the script of the soft coup already applied in countries where there have been bloody consequences or direct military interventions, as in Libya. They seem to forget that it was in Cuba where the mercenary invasion of Playa Giron constituted their first great military defeat in our America.
The Constitution of the Republic of Cuba establishes the right to peaceful demonstration but not the right of Washington’s employees to take to the streets against the revolution under the protection of that right. They have already been warned that the march is illegal and as such the measures foreseen in the island’s regulations will be applied to those who attempt to violate it. It is the height of brazenness that they intend to hold a public demonstration against the political and social system that Cubans have democratically given themselves, since the Cuban Constitution, approved in a referendum with more than 85 percent of the votes on February 24, 2019, proclaims the irreversible nature of socialism on the island. It is particularly perverse and provocative that they intend to use the socialist rule of law to serve the coup and destabilizing plans of the empire of the North.
Washington attaches such importance to the march and is so desperate to promote it that official US spokespersons and, constantly anti-Cuban legislators, have issued a total of 29 statements in support of it, or attacking Cuba, since it was announced on September 22. Among them, four from Brian A. Nichols, Under Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere, one from Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor; one from Juan Gonzalez, Director of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the National Security Council; and five from the U.S. Embassy in Havana.
The Cuban government has extensively documented the links of Yunior García Aguilera and Manuel Cuesta Morúa, main organizers of the march, with US government officials and notorious terrorist leaders in Miami, who coordinate with them the details for 15N. Also documented are their attendance to several training meetings on regime change in Madrid, Miami and Buenos Aires. Among Yunior’s professors have been Ruth Diamint, professor at the exclusive University of Buenos Aires Torcuato Di Tella, that coordinates the project Times of Change and the role of the armed forces in Cuba and projects of the Open Society Foundation and the Ford Foundation, recognized CIA fronts; Laura Tedesco, vice-dean at the Madrid campus of the American Saint Louis University, also coordinator of the aforementioned project and also linked to Open Society projects. Both have visited the island four times, where, in addition to touring several cities, they met with Cuesta Morúa. For them, the Cuban revolution is a “moribund” one, “that only serves a few” and the “usurpers” have been Hugo Chavez, Nestor and Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and Rafael Correa
The highlight of November 15 will be the opening of Cuba to the new normal, including tourism, other economic sectors and the school year, thanks to having the most extensively vaccinated country in the Americas, including its students at all levels, with its own immunogens. An achievement that greatly disturbs Washington.
