The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, announced today, Wednesday, the upcoming launch of Criterio Compartido, (Shared Criteria) a new radio program dedicated to addressing the reality of the country.
The president unveiled the initiative during a visit this morning to Radio Rebelde, where he spoke with the station’s staff.
According to a statement from the Office of the President of Cuba on its social media accounts, the program will be dedicated to discussions on various issues facing Cuba.
In the post, the Office of the President noted that the head of state explained that “the idea is to discuss the country’s problems, but also the progress made in the face of the fierce imperial blockade”.
It added that the program will feature “fellow citizens who inspire and impress with their work,” who, it noted, “give meaning to the slogan ‘Sí se puede’ (Yes, we can).”
“We’ll start next Wednesday, and every 15 days, we’ll be talking with the people, with their heroes and heroines. To listen is to learn,” said President Díaz-Canel.
