Right now in Havana, alongside the districts that have been without power for more than 40 hours, there are others that have never gone without power for weeks, supposedly because they house vital facilities. Are they so vital that they can’t even spare a few hours for the benefit of others?
Right now in Havana, it’s difficult to coordinate electricity and water service in the neighborhoods to alleviate the shortage of this precious liquid, which hits harder than the understandable—albeit poorly distributed—power outages.
Our enemies condemn us to this: to shortages, hardships, and suffering. That’s their plan. And its impact is felt throughout the country.
Amid this near-total scarcity, we must organize the distribution more effectively to minimize the hardships. I know it’s almost like asking for a miracle, but there are still things that can be done. The president recently called for the use of Artificial Intelligence to assist in processes that require greater rationality, attention to detail, and organization.
These processes also require better communication—communication that fosters explanation and understanding, rather than providing information that causes unease due to its vagueness.
Times are tough. We must protest every day against Trump and Marco Rubio for their genocidal collective punishment of our people.
But we also need to optimize our actions so that we can better distribute the very little we have.
