Week of Action in Defense of Cuba March 8th-15th

Responding to the escalating actions of the Trump Administration to try and heap more suffering on heroic Cuba the  National Network on Cuba – NNOC has called on all its member organizations to initiate actions across the US from March 8 – March 15.  Resumen Latinoamericano, a member organization of the NNOC, is joining this call for all of our subscribers to mobilize at this critical time. Trump and Rubio want to crush Cuba because it gives a glimpse of what a society, democratically governed around the needs of the people, looks like. To the criminals in the White House Cuba represents a disobedient nation that stands for peace, co operation and mutual respect between nations; not dominance and greed.

By Alejandra Garcia on February 19, 2026

In Cuba, U.S. sanctions are not just numbers in an economic report. They translate into long lines to access fuel, blackouts, hospitals without electricity, families in conditions of extreme vulnerability, families who travel kilometers (on foot, by bicycle, or on a cart) to obtain the most basic necessities. Sanctions turn people into victims (more…)

Granma in the Latin American Communication Experience

By Fernando Buen Abad Domínguez on February 17, 2026

We know that Granma’s contribution to the Latin American communication experience cannot be understood as an anecdotal chapter in the history of regional journalism; rather, it is a historical laboratory where words are assumed to be a material force and truth is a disputed territory. Since its founding in 1965 as the official organ of the Communist Party of Cuba, Granma has operated in an area of tension where reporting is not only about transmitting data, but also actively participating in the symbolic configuration of reality. The kidnapping of a sitting head of state marks a grave escalation in US-Venezuela relations. By seizing Venezuela’s constitutional president, Washington signaled both its disregard for international law and its confidence that it would face little immediate consequence. (more…)

In his 2028 presidential campaign, Secretary of State and White House National Security Advisor Marco Rubio is pursuing his own agenda. A product of the Cuban-American terrorist mafia that has historically profited from the counterrevolution industry in South Florida, Rubio operates a parallel diplomacy that responds to the interests of militant anti-Castroism and colonizing-genocidal Zionism. Cuba in the Face of Everyday Fascism

By Ernesto Novaez Guerreo on February 16, 2026

The recent Executive Order signed by Donald Trump on January 29 is another step in an increasingly evident strategy to “gaskify” life on the island. This has been noted in numerous analyses on the subject. The worsening oil embargo is affecting all sectors of the country’s economic and social life, exacerbating material conditions that were already severely affected by the post-pandemic crisis and the sustained wave of US measures against the Cuban economy. Cuba: ANAP Denounces New Escalation of US Imperialist Aggression

February 16, 2026 from Havana

The land unites us, dignity guides us, and solidarity strengthens us.

“Year of the Centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz”To all sister and solidarity organizations around the world

The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) of Cuba denounces before the world the criminal and new escalation of aggression by Yankee imperialism against our people. The extreme application of Executive Order 14380, which imposes sanctions on any country that sends oil to Cuba, is an act of economic warfare aimed at paralyzing our nation, suffocating our industry and agriculture, and causing suffering among Cuban families. This is not an isolated measure, but the latest link in the genocidal policy of the blockade, which has now lasted more than six decades. (more…)
